Sri Sita Thakurani
But who was Visnu-Priya devi?
[Question:] Gurudeva, you said Visnu-priya devi is Bhu-sakti. So is she like Laxmi?
[Srila Narayana Maharaja:] No, she is like Satyabhama.
[Question:] But we hear that Navadvipa-dhama is non-different from Vraja.
[Srila Narayana Maharaja:] Yes
[Question:] How can Satyabhama be in Vraja-lila?
[Srila Narayana Maharaja:] Radhika has come as Gadadhara Pandita, and Sri Svarupa Damodara and Sri Raya Ramananda have come as Lalita and Visakha. The associates of Nrsimhadeva, Ramacandra, and all other incarnations have also come to Navadvipa, because Sacinandana Gaurahari includes all incarnations. All incarnations are within Him. So Satyabhama may also come to Navadvipa-lila and have the association of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
[Question:] Is this also true in Svetadvipa (Navadvipa in Goloka Vrndavana?* [See Endnote 3]

The Glories of Srimati Gangamata Gosvamini
There was a beautiful girl in East Bengal named Saci devi, and she was the daughter of the King of Putiya. From the beginning of her life she heard about Lord Krsna, and from that time she gave her whole heart to Him. From the time she was about five years old, she used to worship Krsna, sing to Krsna, play with Krsna, and do everything with Him. When she was about sixteen years old she became maddened for Him.
Saci devi was not only beautiful, but she was very intelligent and she used to study Sanskrit and Bengali. Her father and mother were very worried for her marriage, but she totally refused. She told her father, "My marriage has already been done. There is no need of another marriage. Don't be worried. I will go to Vrndavana and I will meet my beloved there."
Taking care of our children: a burden or blessing ?
Once I heard that the mother is the child's first guru. This means that raising a child is a big responsibility and that the mother has to think carefully about what is good for the child's development. This takes a lot of deep understanding and a lot of real love. It is not for our own benefit that we must be loving and caring, but for our child's. Are our actions in the child's best interests or our own?
Indeed, a mother should try to consider carefully what action most benefits her child and what she wants the child to ultimately attain. If she is clear about the goal, she will act so as to attain it.

[Respected Maharajas, Prabhus, and Didis, Dandavat pranama. Jaya Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga.Sometimes devotees write us saying there are not enough hari-katha lectures being sent out, and sometimes other devotees write us saying there are too many lectures being sent out. Some say they cannot keep up with the lectures because they don't have enough online time to read them. For those devotees, we have a suggestion. If you download the lectures onto your hard-drive, or onto a floppy, then you will have them stored. Then you will be able to read them on a rainy day, share them with friends, and select from among them when you need them for observing holidays, preaching and giving classes, or simply for you own study.

The Story of Ekadasi
(This article was originaly written in 1956 by Sri Navincandra cakravarti, a disciple of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, and in 1979 translated into English by Vyenkata dasa Brahmacari.)
Many devotees are very inquisitive about the appearance of Sri Ekadasi and about her special characteristics. Therefore i am presenting the description from the fourteth chapter of the Padma Purana, from the section entitled "Kriya-sagara-sara."
